Charles Troy

Charles Troy is a graphic designer who wanted to be a Broadway lyricist. Over the last six years, he has developed more than thirty-five multimedia presentations on musical theatre subjects. These unique presentations combine slides of rare photos and original graphics, plus historic audio tracks and pertinent video clips, coordinated with an absorbing narrative that strings together all the pertinent events into a dramatic tale.

He has created presentations on the stories behind many of the great musicals: Oklahoma!, My Fair Lady, and Fiddler on the Roof, to name just a few. He has also developed four-part series on many great Broadway writers, such as Irving Berlin, the Gershwins, and Cole Porter.

He has built up a large and enthusiastic following in his native Chicago, performing at theatres, senior centers, and private events. He has also presented his programs to great acclaim in New York, Washington D.C., Indianapolis, other major cities, and on cruises.
